The Cooking Team Building utilizes all your senses and then some: Taste, sight, smell, touch, knowledge and experience. Many bite-sized dishes are presented, embodying texture, temperature, scent, taste, tasting and visual presence.

This Cooking Team Building is a platform from which we can present the fusion of dishes and senses that will embody memories, fun and experiences that will carry you far beyond just taste.

09h00 -  Royal English Breakfast

A Huge English Breakfast with Bottomless Coffee, inclusive of lamb sausages, toast, cereals, eggs, beaked beans. The breakfast buffet variety depends on the size of the group as well as Produce that is available in season (avocado, watermelon, etc)

Dividing Teams ±10/team

The entire group would stand in a circle around the designated Facilitator and everybody would get a number to remember. All the “number 1’s” would be in a team, and all the “number 2’s” in another team, etc. Allow for about ten people per team

Green Screen Movie in the Making

Teams act in front of a Green Screen for 12 seconds, and without knowing why. The video is then edited in the Amazing Race Team Building TV Show, with backgrounds such as the Eifel Tower, Great Pyramids, Great Wall of China, Donald Trump, Bafana Bafana etc - simply hilarious. This video is shown after lunch.

Cooking Team Building BraaiMaster and PotjieKos Mystery Boxes explained 

(±10/team) Each team receives a Mystery Box with Herbs, Spices, Utensils, Charcoal and Braais. Teams take the braais home after the event. Amazing Race Team Building team will get the tomatoes and pepper, while the other team the onions and salt etc. Teams have to build a meat platter that represents a country, i.e. Mexico, Thailand, Spain etc.

New Charcoal Braais

Each braai can BBQ for 10 to 15 people. Teams keep the braais after the event
New Braai Utensils - new disposable utensils (halaal), veggie knives, spoons, cutting boards, mixing bowls, mop caps, chef hats, aprons, gloves, charcoal and fire lighters

Herbs & Spices 

i.e basil, tumeric, bay leaves, capers, cardamom, chives, cloves, fennel, garlic, jasmine, nutmeg, oregano, paprika, saffron, curry, thyme, turmeric etc


Halaal Meat (halaal, Forsmay Muslim Butchery, 011 838 5720 or Laudium Muslim Halal Butchery, 012 374 3415) - lamb, beef, chicken, wors; total ±350g per person

Judging of the Cooking Team Building Competition

A person from each team is nominated as a judge, that person must select a criteria, i.e. taste, texture, presentation etc. Each judge must select a different criteria

12h00 - Lunch

Lunch is served and the winning team of the Cooking Team Building is announced. Cutlery & Crockery included, Lunch is served with Pap, Gravy, Salads, Rolls. Paper plates for halal meals.

*all served with 340ml can Coke, Sprite, Fanta etc.


*Special Dietary Requirements
Halal, Vegetarian, Vegan meals are included. Strict Halal meals are ordered from Barcelos at the Main Shopping Centre (tel: 011 466 0047). Kosher meals are ordered and delivered by Totally Kosher (tel: 011 430 1940).
